River House Garden

Lord & Lady Puttnam
Old Court
Skibbereen, West Cork, Ireland

Originally an exposed 12 acre garden now grown into some sheltered and shaded garden/woodland areas. The exceptional view from the Main House determines the mainly natural and relaxed planting style. Features include a
walled garden (flowers and vegetables), orchard, custom built soft fruit cage, polytunnel for vegetables and tomatoes,
avenue of Himalaylan birches and a millenuim planted woodland. A small distance down to the Ilen River lies a pond with the award winning ‘Boathouse’.
