Originally (20 years ago) a very exposed 12 acre farm now harbours some sheltered and shady garden/woodland areas. The exceptional view from the house over the surrounding countryside and the River Ilen still determines the mainly natural and relaxed planting style. Features include a walled garden with flowers and veg., enclosed courtyard with fountain, orchard, custom built fruit cage, a polytunnel for veg. and tomato growing, avenue of Himalayan birches and a millenium planted woodland. A small distance down to the river lies a pond with the award winning ‘Boathouse’.

ADMISSION: €5. Students/OAP €4. No dogs please.
LOCATION: Take main Baltimore Road from Skibbereen as far as Old Court Bridge. Take sharp right at boatyard before bridge onto Old Baltimore Road. About ½ mile from that turn left. Parking available through the 3rd gate. (Please no parking on the main road.)
